SENATOBIA – A dominant year for Meredith Dearman wrapped up today with the final awards from the 2026 softball season being handed out, and the freshman from Enterprise was named as a Second-Team NJCAA Softball Division II All-American, adding to an already impressive list of accolades she has been awarded.
The honor makes her just the fourth player to win the award, joining Ellie Fryar, who was a Second-Team All-American last season, as well as Saige Koczka (2021,22) and McKaylee Polk (2022, 23) as the other selections to the NJCAA list. Sommer Tyes is the only other Ranger with an All-American nod, being named to the NFCA NJCAA Division II Second-Team last season.
Dearman is coming off a dominant season in the Northwest record books, becoming just the fifth player in program history to win more than 20 games (21), and joining Gabby Dickerson as the only players to strike out 200+ in a season, with Dearman wrapping up the campaign with 208.
This all came in 180 innings of work, where she would work 19 complete games and pick up four shutouts.
The big push for Dearman to earn the All-American nod came from the national tournament, where she turned heads by striking out 41 batters in just 25.1 innings of work. This, while only giving up five runs, she nearly picked up two more complete-game shutouts in the process.
