CHARLOTTE - Following a split against 10th-ranked Northeast last week, Northwest has held steady at No. 8 in the latest NJCAA Division II Softball Rankings, released Monday afternoon.

Northwest (28-6, 9-5 MACCC) had its road doubleheader against Southwest Mississippi rescheduled for Wednesday, April 9 at 2/4 P.M. The Rangers are still scheduled to visit Coahoma on Tuesday, April 8 and will host Mississippi Gulf Coast on Saturday, April 12 at 12/2 P.M.

Things largely remained the same in the national top five, with the lone exception involving Phoenix College to drop to No. 6, switching with now fifth-ranked Louisburg College (N.C.).

Fellow MACCC foes Jones College and Copiah-Lincoln held steady at the third and fourth spots, respectively, with St. Johns River State (Fla.) and Murray State (Okla.) also remaining in the top two. Northeast fell a spot to No. 11, while Pearl River held at 14th. Additionally, Region 23 nemesis LSU-Eunice remained in the No. 13 slot.
