CHARLOTTE - Following a 4-2 week that included a sweep of Coahoma, and splits against Southwest Mississippi and Mississippi Gulf Coast, Northwest tumbled a few spots to No. 13 in Monday's latest NJCAA Division II Softball Rankings.

Northwest was previously ranked at No. 8 and held the No. 9 slot for a few weeks before that. The Rangers are currently 32-8 on the season and 13-7 in the MACCC.

St. Johns River State (Fla.) continues to hold the top spot in the nation, followed by Murray State (Okla.) and Copiah-Lincoln at second and third, respectively. Louisburg College (N.C.) and Phoenix College round out the No. 4 and No. 5 slots.

Other MACCC teams in this week's rankings include Northeast at No. 11 and Pearl River in 16th. NJCAA Region 23 nemesis LSU-Eunice jumped three spots from 13th to 10th.

Northwest will face East Mississippi on Wednesday, April 16, before traveling to Meridian on Friday, April 18.
