Northwest Drops Third Straight Conference Game

Lady Rangers to host East Central on Monday

Box Score CLARKSDALE - Northwest trailed by nine at halftime of Thursday's contest at Coahoma and never recovered in the second half, as the Lady Rangers left the short road trip with a 70-50 loss.

Both teams were tied at 13 apiece after the opening quarter, but the Lady Tigers began pulling away late in the first half, building a 33-24 lead by the halftime buzzer. Northwest was then outscored 19-10 in the third quarter and trailed 52-34 entering the final 10 minutes of play.

With the loss, the Lady Rangers fell to 8-10 overall and 4-4 in the MACCC. With six games left in the regular season, Northwest will need a quick recovery with East Central up next on Monday, February 10. The Lady Warriors (4-13, 0-7 MACCC) are looking to snap a nine-game losing skid after their most recent loss to Mississippi Gulf Coast on Thursday.
