JACKSON - Two Northwest outfielders have been chosen as NJCAA Region 23 Gold Glove winners for the 2024 season.
Center fielder
Cade Greer and right fielder
Peyton Martin were selected for Gold Glove awards at their respective positions, after finishing their seasons - and two-year careers - with perfect 1.000 fielding percentages. The duo are just two of three Northwest outfielders to ever finish their careers with a 1.000 fielding percentage in a minimum of 140 total chances, a rare category that includes Chad Wardlaw (2010-11).
Greer and Martin are both expected to sign to four-year programs in the coming weeks. Currently, Greer is committed to the University of Memphis and Martin remains uncommitted while evaluating several offers.
