CHARLOTTE - After a 2-2 week that included a sweep of Mississippi Delta, the Northwest softball program slid two spots to No. 11 in the latest batch of NJCAA Division II Softball Rankings, released Monday afternoon.
Northwest (16-8, 3-5 MACCC) is one of six MACCC programs in the latest round of rankings, joining No. 2 Copiah-Lincoln, fourth-ranked Pearl River, No. 6 Jones College, ninth-ranked East Central and No. 17 Northeast. Additionally, fellow NJCAA Region 23 foe LSU-Eunice remains at No. 8 nationally.Â
Parkland College remains in the top spot with a record of 29-3, with Louisburg (N.C.) and Murray State (Okla.) checking in at No. 3 and No. 5, respectively.Â
Northwest will look to get back on the winning track with a pair of conference doubleheaders this week. The Rangers are scheduled to face Holmes on Tuesday, March 26 at 2/4 P.M., before hosting Hinds on Friday at 2/4 P.M.
