JACKSON - Northwest sophomore
Rachel Stegall was recently selected for All-NJCAA Region 23 accolades, marking another award for the Lady Rangers' outside hitter.
A Flowood native and William Carey University transfer, Stegall made a strong impact in her lone season at Northwest. She ranked second on the team in kills, earning 314 and finishing just behind freshman
Maddie Smith for the team lead. Stegall also totaled a team-high 75 service aces for the season, finishing second in the program record books for single-season and career service aces.
Stegall was previously chosen for First Team All-MACCC honors last month, after helping Northwest to a 25-9 overall record, the program's third straight winning season and the Lady Rangers' second consecutive 20-win campaign. Northwest finished as the MACCC Champions and ended the season as the runners-up in the NJCAA Region 23 Tournament.
