SENATOBIA - Through numerous ties and lead changes, it was Coahoma that ultimately came out victorious against Northwest in Thursday evening's home-opener, 66-63.
Northwest shot 36 percent on the evening and finished just 3-of-17 from three-point range, as the Rangers fell to 1-3 on the season.Â
Shavurdacour Nicholas led the Rangers with 22 points and seven rebounds, while
Dorian Booker posted a 12-point effort.
Keanu Patrick fell just shy of a double-double, finishing with 10 points and nine rebounds.
Coahoma had three players reach double figures, including 17 points from RiCarvis Waters and a 10-point, 12-rebound performance from Louzavious Thomas. Jaidyn Rankins rounded out the leading scorers for the Tigers with 15 points.
Next up for Northwest will be a home contest against Arkansas State Mid-South, scheduled for Monday, November 18 at 6 P.M. The Rangers previously defeated the Greyhounds earlier this month, 77-57.
