SENATOBIA - Despite dropping the opening set in Friday's region match against Itawamba, Northwest rallied back to take the next three sets, scoring a 3-1 victory against the Lady Indians.
Northwest improved to 13-12 with the win, while the Lady Indians fell to 7-13 on the season. The win also marked the third straight victory against the Lady Indians.
Jacia Hayes finished with a team-best 16 kills and provided two blocks. Freshman
Anna Lott collected a team-best five blocks, while
Kaya Coleman also added four blocks of her own.
Cristen Cleveland posted seven kills and 10 digs, while
Caroline Howard added 20 digs.
Additionally,
Layla Dyer posted 10 digs and 15 assists, while
Sarah Bolin posted 17 assists of her own.
Northwest will hit the road on Sunday for a pair of matches against Henderson State JV and Champion Christian College.
