UTICA - Jordan Johnson's 16-point effort led all Northwest scorers in Thursday's 72-68 road loss at Hinds.

Jaylon Sanders also scored 11 points apiece, while Moore also hauled in 10 rebounds. The Northwest starters combined for 49 points, with
Ke'Darius Stampley's seven points leading the bench effort.
Northwest trailed 32-23 at halftime, but outscored the Bulldogs 45-40 over the span of the second half. The Rangers shot 35 percent from the floor, but just 14 percent from beyond the arc.
With the loss, the Rangers fell to 5-13 overall and 3-6 in conference play, continuing the team's losing streak to three games. For Hinds, the win snapped a seven-game losing skid, improving the Bulldogs to 8-11 on the season and 1-7 in the MACCC.
Northwest will return home on Monday to host 17th-ranked Itawamba at 6 P.M. The Indians are 17-2 on the season and 7-1 in conference play, following the team's most recent victory against Mississippi Gulf Coast.
