Box Score ELLISVILLE - For the fourth straight game and the ninth time this season, sophomore
Joseph Cooper finished in double figures, but it wasn't enough for Northwest to cancel out a strong second half from Jones College in Thursday's 82-64 loss.
Cooper posted 26 points on the evening to lead all Northwest scorers. With the loss, the Rangers dropped to 3-9 on the season and 1-2 in conference play, while the Bobcats jumped to 10-3 overall and 3-0 in the MACCC.
Both teams battled throughout the first half, though Jones College went into halftime with the slim three-point lead, 34-31. However, the Bobcats eventually pulled away as the second half progressed, outscoring Northwest 48-33.
Jaylon Sanders came away with nine points for the Rangers, followed by eight off the bench from

Northwest will aim for a return to the win column on Tuesday, January 17 against Mississippi Delta. The Trojans (4-10, 1-2 MACCC) are coming off a close 72-70 road win at Mississippi Gulf Coast, a victory that snapped a three-game losing skid.Â
Tipoff for the Rangers and Trojans is scheduled for 6 P.M. at Howard Coliseum. Fans not in attendance can follow all the action live on Ranger TV (nwccrangers.com/watch) or Action News 5 Plus.
