Box Score HENDERSON, Tenn. - In Thursday's road match at Freed-Hardeman, Northwest hit the gas and never looked back, sweeping the host Lady Lions in straight sets.
Northwest took the opening set, 25-18, and then routed the Lady Lions by a pair of 25-9 and 25-10 decisions over the next two sets. The win helped cap off a week and a half road swing for the Lady Rangers.
Freshman
Kailey Gooch led the way with 14 kills and two blocks, while
Cristen Cleveland earned seven kills, five digs and two aces.
Lia Ramos totaled 32 assists and 12 digs on the evening, while sophomore
Kayla Beal came away with 20 digs.
Northwest will return home on Thursday, September 8 to host a round-robin with Freed-Hardeman and Region 23 foe Pearl River. The Lady Rangers will take on PRCC at 3 P.M., before the Lady Wildcats and Freed-Hardeman face each other at 5 P.M. Northwest will then close out the evening against the Lady Lions at 7 P.M.
