Northwest to Host Region 23 Play-In Championship

Lady Rangers to face winner of Itawamba-Pearl River

SENATOBIA - For the first time since taking the court three years ago, the Northwest volleyball program finished the regular season as the top overall seed in Region 23.

Now, the Lady Rangers will have home-court advantage to open the postseason, as Northwest will play host to the Region 23 Play-In Championship on Saturday. The match is scheduled for 1 P.M. at Howard Coliseum against the winner of No. 2 Pearl River and third-seed Itawamba, a match that will take place on Friday evening in Fulton.

The winner of Saturday's championship match will advance to the next stage of postseason competition, the NJCAA Division II Gulf District Tournament, held November 4-5 at St. Johns River State College in Palatka, Fla.

Saturday's showdown will be streamed on Ranger TV (nwccrangers.com/watch). Admission is free to all fans.
