Box Score FAYETTE, Ala. - A nearly month-long, 12-match road swing ended on a high note for Northwest, as the Lady Rangers earned a 3-0 match victory at Bevill State on Thursday evening.

Northwest improved to 4-9 on the season and 4-0 all-time against the Lady Bears. The win also marked the third victory in the last four matches for the Lady Rangers, beginning with last Saturday's sweep at Shawnee and Harris-Stowe State.

Northwest ran out to a big lead in the first set and held off a strong Bevill State rally to earn the 25-20 decision. The Lady Rangers put their foot on the gas in the second set, racing out to a 2-0 match lead after a 25-12 second-set triumph.

Bevill State made the Lady Rangers work for the clincher in the third set, but despite a solid effort from the hosts, Northwest edged the Lady Bears with a 25-22 third-set clincher.

Northwest will finally return to the friendly confines of Howard Coliseum this weekend, as the Lady Rangers will welcome Champion Christian College, Pearl River and Snead State as part of the Northwest/Itawamba Crossover Tournament.
