Five Former Rangers To Be Featured in NCAA Baseball Regionals

SENATOBIA - A big weekend is on deck for college baseball fans across Mississippi, as both Ole Miss and Mississippi State are slated to host NCAA Regionals, placing the national spotlight on both schools.

As part of that same spotlight, five Northwest baseball alumni will be competing for the Rebels and Bulldogs, respectively.

Former Ranger outfielder Hayden Leatherwood and infielder Ben Van Cleve will suit up for Ole Miss in a stacked Oxford Regional, featuring the likes of Southern Miss, Florida State and Southeast Missouri State. The duo have helped the Rebels to a 41-19 overall record and to the semifinals of last week's SEC Tournament in Hoover.

Ole Miss will open competition on Friday, June 4 at 7 P.M. against fourth-seeded Southeast Missouri State.

Meanwhile, in Starkville, pitcher Parker Stinnett, infielder Tanner Leggett and outfielder Brayland Skinner will take the field for Mississippi State (40-15) in the Starkville Regional. Campbell, VCU and Samford will make up the opposing competition at Dudy Noble Field, starting with the battle of the Bulldogs between MSU and Samford at 2 P.M. on Friday, June 4.

All games will be carried through ESPN.com, with select contests televised over-the-air across the ESPN family of networks. Check your local listings.
