Box Score FULTON - Despite an 8-3 elimination loss to ninth-ranked Copiah-Lincoln in Friday's MACCC Tournament action, Northwest received a bit of good news by earning a bid to the NJCAA Region 23 Tournament for the first time since 2012.
With Hinds losing to Mississippi Gulf Coast prior to the Rangers' battle with the Lady Wolves, the Lady Eagles were eliminated with a 1-2 tournament record. While Northwest also finished 1-2 for the week, the Rangers earned the fifth and final seed from the MACCC by being the higher seed, which was determined as the tiebreaker prior to the start of this week's conference tournament.
