JACKSON - After his dominant 27-point performance at Jones College last week, Northwest sophomore forward DeAntoni Gordon has been chosen as this week's Player of the Week by the Mississippi Association of Community Colleges Conference, the organization announced late Tuesday afternoon.

Gordon's 27 points earned him a new career-high and his eight rebounds were instrumental in helping the Rangers to a 72-70 playoff victory against the aforementioned Bobcats.

For the season, Gordon is averaging a team-best 14.2 points per game. The Mobile, Ala. native has been the team's most consistent scorer since arriving to Northwest from Wichita State in the offseason.

Northwest (8-7) will travel to top-seeded Pearl River this evening for a 6 P.M. tipoff in Poplarville. Catch all the action live on prccmedia.com.
