FAYETTE, Ala. - Kapria Manning and
India Jeffries combined for 11 kills each as Northwest won its second straight match, a 3-1 decision at Bevill State on Wednesday evening.
Northwest took the first set by a 25-20 decision, only to stumble with a 25-10 loss in the second set.
With the match even at 1-1, Northwest rebounded nicely with a 25-16 victory in the third set. The Lady Rangers then clinched the match with a 25-23 win in the fourth and final set.
Julissa Soto led the Lady Rangers with 26 digs, while
Chariah Mabry totaled five aces and two blocks.
With the win, Northwest improved to 6-10 on the season, as Bevill State dropped to 0-15. The Lady Rangers will host Pearl River in the regular season finale on March 24.
