Inclement Weather Postpones Northwest Baseball Conference Opener

SENATOBIA - Fans of the Northwest baseball program will have to wait just a little bit longer to see the Rangers back at Jim Miles Field, as a wet weekend forecast has forced the postponement of the conference-opening doubleheader against seventh-ranked Pearl River.

The matchup between the two ranked programs was supposed to take place at 1/4 P.M. on Saturday, but the games have been tentatively moved to Thursday, March 4 at 2/5 P.M.

Ranked at No. 4 in the NJCAA Division II Preseason Poll, Northwest (6-4) has battled weather issues throughout the first month of the season, washing away most of the Rangers' non-conference slate.

Northwest has not played a home contest since a split against No. 11 Northeast on Saturday, February 6.
