Tristan Moore Named to Mississippi College Men's Basketball All-Decade Team

CLINTON – Former Northwest guard Tristan Moore has been recognized as an Honorable Mention selection to the men's basketball All-Decade Team at Mississippi College.

Moore, a native of Senatobia, started in 41 of 47 games during his two seasons with the Choctaws and averaged 12.5 points, 4.2 assists and 3.5 rebounds per game. He posted eight games with 20 or more points, including a career high of 28 points in a double overtime victory at West Florida on February 7, 2015.

Prior to Mississippi College, Moore starred for Bubba Skelton from 2012-14 and played in 48 career games for the Rangers, earning 26 starts. He averaged 9.4 points, 2.9 assists, 2.6 rebounds and 1.3 steals per game for his career, aided by a breakout sophomore season average of 13.2 points per game. He shot a combined 46 percent from the floor, 44 percent from 3-point range and 74 percent from the line.

Since concluding his college career, Moore has played for the former Jackson Showboats of the American Basketball Association and in Mexico for Zanahorias de Calera of the showcase league LEDT (Liga de Desarollo de Talentos). He also spent one season as a volunteer assistant coach for the Northwest men's basketball program in 2018-19, under then-interim head coach Shane Oakley.

Criteria for the Mississippi College All-Decade teams were selected by the athletics communications department with assistance from the coaching staffs of each sport. A student-athlete had to have competed in two seasons during the decade, and they were selected to the teams based on national, regional and conference honors, as well as personal achievements and effects on the program as a whole.
