SENATOBIA – Tuesday's scheduled baseball season opener against Southwest Tennessee has been postponed due to inclement weather.

Although improved drainage work done during the offseason kept Jim Miles Field mostly dry, persistent forecasted rain for Tuesday afternoon prohibited both teams from continuing forward with the scheduled doubleheader. At this time, no makeup date has been announced.

Northwest will now turn its sights to Saturday, Feb. 15 against Illinois Central. The Cougars will come down to Senatobia for a 1/4 p.m. doubleheader, replacing previously scheduled opponent Muskegon (Mich.), who canceled its trip due to conflicting travel arrangements.

There will be no broadcast for Saturday's doubleheader but live stats will be available for both games by accessing the Multimedia link at nwccrangers.com.
