Freshman Brady Logan provided the only home run of the day in Game 2, a two-run shot against Pearl River. 

Northwest will conclude fall competition on Friday, October 16 at USA Stadium in Millington, Tenn. against a pair of opponents to be named later.

Game 1 – Northwest 4, East Central 2

Noah Hattier went 2-for-4 at the plate and Garrett Riggs finished 1-for-3 with a double and two RBIs as Northwest held off East Central in the first contest of the day at Sports Force Park in Vicksburg.

Hammer Franks also finished 1-for-2 with a double, as freshman pitcher Presley tossed three scoreless innings with five strikeouts.

Savage came in to close out the final two innings for the Rangers, allowing an unearned run and two strikeouts.


Game 2 – Pearl River 12, Northwest 8

Although the nightcap ended in a loss for Northwest, the Rangers scattered a majority of their runs in late innings to rally back against a strong Pearl River squad.

Logan's home run helped spark the Ranger rally, as Mac Sims also finished 2-for-2 with a double and an RBI. Peeko Townsend also finished 1-for-3, with his lone hit resulting in a triple.

Bruce tossed eight strikeouts over 3.1 innings of work, allowing a walk and an unearned run. Willingham also threw 1.2 innings and finished with five strikeouts and an earned run allowed.
