Kayla Bradley led Northwest with a pair of double-figure performances, but Holmes protected the home court with a 75-51 victory in the Lady Rangers' season finale.
Northwest fell behind by 10 five minutes in and trailed 16-8 at the end of the opening quarter.
Northwest was able to gain some ground with an 18-point effort in the second quarter and nine first half points from Bradley, but Holmes still led the Lady Rangers 40-26 at halftime.
Despite the Lady Rangers' best efforts in the second half, Holmes continued to create separation throughout the second half and led 62-39 at the end of the third quarter. The Lady Bulldogs didn't let up much in the fourth quarter either, taking its largest lead of 27 in the final minute of action.
Northwest shot 31 percent from the floor in the loss, compared to 39 percent from Holmes. Both teams were near even in total rebounds (50-42), second chance points (16-13) and points off turnovers (18-16), with Holmes holding a slight advantage in all three categories.
Northwest outscored Holmes 31-19 off the bench, with Russell providing 14 of those points to go along with seven rebounds. Bradley added 11 points and four rebounds in her final game for the Lady Rangers.
Holmes was led by a 20-point, 12-rebound double-double from MiKayla Patton, with Jekalen Jones and Christina Harris adding 13 and 10 points, respectively.
With the loss, Northwest concludes the 2018-19 season at 8-14 overall and 3-9 in the MACJC North Division. Holmes improved to 9-13 on the season and 5-6 in division play.
