ELLISVILLE – Six first half goals put the match well out of reach for the Northwest women's soccer team, as Jones County handed the Lady Rangers an 8-0 defeat in Ellisville on Monday night.
Northwest (2-1) suffered its first loss of the season as a result while Jones County, the two-time defending MACJC Champions, improved to 2-0 on the young season.
Madison LaFontaine scored the first goal for JCJC in the 8th minute and never looked back, as the Lady Bobcats added five goals, two from Mikayla Banks.
Northwest kept JCJC quiet for the majority of the second half despite two late goals from Olivia Simpson and Anna Grace Gieger.
The Lady Rangers were outshot 39-2 and didn't take a single corner kick in the contest.

Makenzie Ellis split halves, with Hailey tallying eight saves and Ellis stopping 10 shots in the second half.
Northwest will conclude its non-division road swing on Tuesday at Meridian at 1 p.m.
