Sarah Johnson scored on Maddy Politte's RBI-grounder.
Alexis McShan then delivered a double to right-center that scored

In the fifth inning, the Rangers expanded their lead to 5-1 thanks to an RBI-double from
Sarah Taylor and an ensuing single from Smith.
Northwest delivered the final dagger with two runs in the sixth, as Politte scored on a passed ball and
Marlee Ray reached home on Taylor's RBI-double to right center.
Politte and Taylor combined to go 4-for-7 at the plate, while Taylor and McShan finished with two RBIs apiece. Smith pitched a complete game for the Rangers, allowing two hits and an earned run, scattering seven strikeouts.
Game 2 – Northwest 9, Coahoma 0 (5 inn.)
The bats were kind to Northwest in the nightcap of Tuesday's doubleheader, as the Rangers churned out 10 hits in a five inning run-rule win.

Alexis McShan and
Morgan Gresham then followed with back-to-back RBI-singles, swelling the Ranger lead to 4-0.
After a wild pitch allowed Politte to score from third, an RBI-single from Wilson and a sac fly from Taylor made it a 7-0 margin for Northwest. Smith then delivered the parting shot with a two-run shot over the wall in left center, sealing the 9-0 win for the Rangers.
Johnson and McShan finished 2-for-2 at the plate with one RBI apiece. Smith was also 2-for-3 with two RBIs to lead the Rangers in hitting.
