LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – In a game that featured seven ties and 12 lead changes, it was host Arkansas Baptist who pulled away late with a 15-5 second half run to hold on for a 90-80 win over Northwest Tuesday night.

ABC improved to 12-5 on the season and swept the season series, while Northwest fell to 7-3.

The Buffaloes raced out to an early seven-point lead before the Rangers rallied with a 12-3 spurt, sparked by back-to-back Brandon Cranford 3-pointers, to take its first lead at 17-15 with 11:36 left in the opening half.

Neither team led by more than three for the final 11-plus minutes of the period with Darius Elliott's 3-pointer with four seconds remaining giving ABC a 39-37 lead heading into the break.

The Buffaloes started to pull away early in the second period and did it with a 21-3 edge in second chance points. Deontae Woodbridge scored 23 of his game-high 25 in the second half alone, pulling down four of ABC's 11 offensive rebounds.

ABC connected on eight of its first nine shots of the half and quickly built a 65-50 lead with 12:17 to play.

Northwest cut the deficit to 76-69 on back-to-back baskets from Cameron Walker and Keelin Jackson with 4:44 left but would get no closer than six the rest of the way.

Five Buffaloes finished in double figures, while Jackson (14), Cranford (13) and Dakota Dailey (11) led the way for Northwest. Walker also added nine points off the bench.
