BLOOMINGTON, Ill. – The Northwest men's golf team is ranked 14th in the latest Golfstat.com rankings released last week, one of eight teams in the poll from the MACJC.

This marks a fifth consecutive season that the men's golf team has been ranked nationally by either the NJCAA or Golfstat under longtime head coach Don Edwards and assistant Guy Purdy.

Northwest has two Top 5 finishes so far this fall, including a fourth place finish in the season-opening Copiah-Lincoln Invitational Sept. 17-18 in Wesson.

Gulf Coast (3rd), Meridian (8th), East Mississippi (16), Hinds (19th), Northeast (20th), Itawamba (22nd) and East Central (28th) are the other seven teams in this week's national poll.

Northwest is in action at the MGCCC Invitational at Grand Bear Golf Club this week.
