LaJustin Anderson Joins Delta State

CLEVELAND – Delta State University head men's basketball coach Jim Boone announced the completion of his recruiting class for the 2015-16 season which includes the addition of former Ranger guard LaJustin Anderson.

"We are very excited about our incoming recruiting class," Boone said. "We have addressed several of our program's needs moving forward, both for our short and long term continued success. However, what I am most pleased with is the character of our incoming class, their academic success and the toughness that each brings to Delta State basketball."

Anderson, a 6-foot-3, 185-pound guard from Senatobia, was one of four junior college additions for DSU.

In his lone season at Northwest, Anderson saw action in all 21 games, averaging 3.6 points and 1.1 rebounds-per-game. He averaged 10.3 points-per-game and shot 48 percent from the floor as a freshman at Co-Lin. Off the court, Anderson was named to Phi Theta Kappa along with the President's and Dean's Lists while at Northwest.

"LaJustin is a very athletic and talented scorer and brings a strong on-ball defensive presence, as well," Boone said. "We are excited about his future as a Statesman."

Anderson is the second Ranger to move on to a four-year program from last year's team along with forward Sharwyn McGee at North Alabama. The two teams will play January 2, 2016 in Cleveland.
