Northwest's lead was just 22-21 with 11:30 left in the half before a 16-4 run over a 5-minute stretch pushed the lead out to 38-25. Jacquelyn Brooks' jumper started the run, while Sara Lytle's 3-pointer ended it.

Northwest continued to pour it on in the second half, hitting its largest lead of the game, 89-64, with 6:19 to play when Brown hit her third 3-pointer of the half.

Coahoma put in its best effort to narrow the gap to 93-84 with a 14-0 run in the final 4 minutes of the game, but S. Lytle finished it off with two made free throws with 20 ticks left.
