HORN LAKE – Senior left-hander Dalton Minton of Horn Lake High School has signed a national letter of intent to play baseball for head coach Mark Carson and Northwest Community College next season.

"Dalton is a long, lanky kid with a lot of upside," assistant coach Bill Selby said. "Once he gets in the weight room and in a collegiate throwing program, I think you'll see him take off. He has a high aptitude to learn and is an intelligent kid. We expect him to develop into a front line starter."

Minton was 5-5 with a 2.43 ERA and a save last season for the Eagles. He logged 66.1 innings, striking out 79 and holding opponents to a .214 average. He hit .289 from the plate with a pair of doubles and 15 RBIs.
