SOUTHAVEN – Senior infielder/outfielder Allison Williams of Southaven High School signed her national letter of intent on Thursday to continue her softball career at Northwest Community College.

"Allison is a very versatile athlete and is a speed demon," second-year assistant coach Carie Dever Boaz said. "She can play the short game and will steal a lot of bases for us. I fully expect for her to break our all-time record. She's a great slap hitter from the left side of the plate and can play both outfield and in the middle infield."

Williams hit .406 last season (.509 SLG%) for the Lady Chargers with six doubles, a triple, home run and 18 RBIs. She also stole 11 bases and scored 36 runs.

Mike Rowan is the head softball coach at Northwest and enters his 12th year with the program in 2015.
