AC Storey Inks Softball Scholarship with Northwest

SENATOBIA – Senatobia High School senior outfielder/middle infielder Annah Catherine Storey signed her national letter of intent on Thursday to continue her softball career at Northwest Mississippi Community College.

Storey's signing is very unique, making it official all the way from the Netherlands where she's playing for the (USA) Chaos United in an International Fastpitch Tournament called "The Cup."

"AC is a fantastic athlete," second-year assistant coach Carie Dever Boaz said. "She has the ability to play anywhere on the field besides pitcher and catcher and will be a huge asset to our team."

As a junior, Storey hit .505 with 10 doubles, five triples, three home runs and 28 RBIs. Along with a .538 on-base percentage, she also scored 43 runs and stole 27 stolen bases.

Storey is a five-sport athlete at Senatobia, who also cheers, plays volleyball and soccer and runs track. Off the playing field, she's involved with FCA and Beta Club.

Mike Rowan is the head softball coach at Northwest and enters his 12th year with the program in 2015.
