Northwest cominbed for 26 runs off 24 hits by 13 different players in the sweep, including a 4-for-6 effort from freshman Stuart Chick and three hits apiece from Tucker Smith and Taylor King.

Co-Lin jumped out to a commanding 7-0 lead in the second inning, plating a single run in the first on Choc Hubbard's solo home run and six more in the second, highlighted by Mitch Little's bases-clearing double.

The Rangers slowly climbed back in it over the ensuing two innings, scoring two in the second and five in the third, highlighted by James Clark's three-run home run, to knot it at 7-7 after three.

Co-Lin pushed back in front 9-7 in the fourth, using RBI-singles from Little and Colby Whitfield.

The Wolfpack jumped out to an early 2-0 lead in the nightcap before T. King's three-run bomb to left gave the Rangers a 3-2 lead after one. Co-Lin then went back in front 4-3 in the second before Northwest responded with three in the bottom half for a 6-4 lead after two.

It was all Northwest after that, with the Rangers outscoring Co-Lin 9-1 over the next three innings, highlighted by a six-run fourth and Kody Kimbrough's grand slam, to win 15-5 in five innings.

Chick provided the walk-off win, hitting a two-run single into left-center that scored both King and Michael Wilson after back-to-back hits to start the frame.

J.R. Miller improved to 4-1 on the mound in four innings of work, scattering seven hits, five runs (three earned) and two strikeouts. Tanner Densford threw a scoreless fifth.

Northwest out-hit Co-Lin 15-8 in the win, led by King (3-for-3, 5 RBIs), Chick (3-for-4, 3 RBIs), Smith (3-for-3, RBI) and Kimbrough (2-for-3, 4 RBIs).

The Rangers will close out the regular season on Saturday at 2 p.m. against Itawamba. A sweep, coupled with an EMCC sweep over Northeast, would give Northwest the No. 2 seed and homefield advantage in the first round of the state playoffs. Northwest can finish no worse than the No. 3 seed.
