TUPELO – Tupelo Christian Prep senior pitcher Devin Orr signed his national letter of intent on Monday, April 7 to play for head baseball coach Mark Carson and the Rangers next season.

"Devin is a big-bodied right-hander that has a lot of potential and upside," Carson said. "He should continue to improve over the summer and step in and help us on the mound next season. We are excited to add his arm to our pitching staff for next year's campaign."

The 6-foot-3, 200-pound righty was sidelined his senior season due to injury but was 5-0 with a 2.14 ERA and 34 strikeouts against 13 walks as a junior.

He's the second TCPS player to sign with the Rangers this spring, joining teammate J.G. Lipscomb.
