WYNNE, Ark. – Wynne High School senior pitcher Landon McFadden signed his national letter of intent on Tuesday, Feb. 18 to play for head baseball coach Mark Carson and the Rangers next season.

McFadden (6-2, 210) went 7-3 with four complete games, a save and 0.82 ERA in 11 starts for the YellowJackets last season. In 68 innings of work, he allowed just eight earned runs while holding opponents to a .167 average. McFadden struck out 73 against just 20 walks.

"Landon brings a big arm that we think will fill a void for the arms we'll lose after this year," Carson said. "He's an out-of-stater with some great numbers and we expect those to get even better. He should provide another good arm in our rotation next year."

McFadden is the ninth signee for Northwest in the class of 2015.
