Clark Named MACJC, NJCAA Player of the Week

JACKSON – Sophomore first baseman Chase Clark of Northwest has been named the MACJC and NJCAA Baseball Player of the Week for games played Monday, March 3 through Sunday, March 9.

The weekly conference honor is the first of Clark's career and he is the second consecutive Ranger to earn the award, joining former Bruce High School teammate Jay King.

The sophomore went a career-high 5-for-5 in the 7-1 game one win, the Bobcats' first loss of the year. He also slugged 1.444 with 13 total bases.

In 12 starts this season, Clark is hitting .368 with three doubles, two home runs, nine RBIs and 12 runs scored.

Northwest returns to action on Wednesday, March 12, playing host to 19th-ranked Northeast at 3 p.m.
