MILLINGTON, Tenn. – Tipton-Rosemark Academy's Ashton Needham signed her national letter of intent on Wednesday to continue her softball career at Northwest Mississippi Community College.

"Needham is a great pickup for us because she's an overall athlete," first-year assistant coach Carie Dever Boaz said. "She'll add a lot of offense for us and is a finesse pitcher who can keep hitters off balance. She's showed a lot of maturity and will be a great leader for us."

Needham is a pitcher/infielder who hit .464 her junior year with 10 doubles, three triples, two home runs and 34 RBIs. She also slugged .573 and fielded .996. In the circle, Needham boasted a 1.28 ERA in 65 innings. 

Needham has accumulated 101 career RBIs and struck out just seven times, showing great plate patience.
