SENATOBIA – The Northwest softball team fulfilled two key needs in the infield on Tuesday by inking a pair of sophomore transfers in twins Andi (left) and Alex (right) Barrett.

The Barrett's, from Lake Cormorant High School, played their freshman seasons at Jones County Junior College and helped the Lady Bobcats to a 44-10 record, MACJC State Championship, Region 23 Runner-Up finish and NJCAA Division II World Series appearance.

Alex played in 21 games and hit .305 with a double, seven RBIs and 19 runs scored.

Andi played in 17 games and hit .222 with a home run, a double, six RBIs and nine runs scored.

The duo is expected to replace Anna Barham and Rachel Kelly at third and shortstop for the 2014 season.
