HAMMOND, La. – Rising sophomore
Domenick Carlini has made his decision on where he'll play after Northwest, as the left-hander from Nesbit committed to Southeastern Louisiana University on Friday.
"They're a contender in their conference and have a chance to go to regionals every year," Carlini said. "They have a lot of guys going pro, especially pitchers, so that set them apart from everyone else I've been talking to. I'm extremely excited about my decision and they were the best school on my list."
Carlini also received interest from Ole Miss (offered), Mississippi State, Southern Mississippi, Delta State, Arkansas Tech and West Alabama.
Carlini went 4-5 with a 3.16 ERA and two complete games last year in 10 starts. In 62 innings of work, he struck out 60 against 20 walks and held opponents to a .254 batting average.
