Athletic Performance Facility
The $14 million Athletic Performance Facility opened in 2026 and features a 70-yard covered turf practice field for multiple sports and a state-of-the-art cheer and dance practice facility with locker rooms, offices, and a meeting space. It also has a dedicated area for sports medicine and trainers specifically for female student-athletes.
This complex is something that all sports will be able to use, giving the Ranger athletic programs a continued boost in their competitive goals on a national stage with the new state-of-the-art facility covering over 56,000 square feet with both indoor and outdoor facilities for use.
Northwest athletics teams, such as football, men’s and women’s soccer, baseball, and softball, can practice regardless of weather conditions. The space will also be available for student activities and college events.
The facility also will be the new home for Northwest cheer and dance, giving them their own space to continue their success. The two teams have won a combined 12 national titles since 2021. Â
The space also includes an athletic training space solely for female athletes, more than doubling the previous space available for athletic training that was available.
The building is also visually appealing, with artwork from various moments in Northwest sports history adorning the walls inside as well as a striking exterior that was put together by the communications department.
