Patrice Christian

Patrice Christian enters her fourth year as the coach of the Northwest Dance team for the 2024-25 season.

Since her arrival in the fall of 2021, Christian has revamped the Northwest Dance team into a nationally competitive squad. Over the past two seasons, Northwest has competed at the UCA/UDA College Nationals in Orlando, winning second place in the Open Hip-Hop category in January 2023 and earning the gold medal in the same category last year.

A native of Memphis, Christian arrived at Northwest after spending nearly 10 years as the head coach of the College of Charleston dance team, where she guided the program to multiple top five finishes at UCA/UDA College Nationals. In the spring of 2021, Christian led the program to its first national championship in the Division I Hip-Hop category.

While in Charleston, Christian also served as the head coach for the pom squad at Bishop England High School from 2011-21, where she also guided the program to several top 10 finishes at UDA Nationals. Most recently, Bishop England finished with third place finish at last year's nationals.

Prior to her time in Charleston, Christian was a member of the University of Memphis Pom Squad and was part of a Tigers' squad that won the Division 1-A Hip-Hop national championship.
