Freshman outfielder Hayden Leatherwood capped off an impressive season by hitting .429 in the month of May to end the year with a team-best .388 batting average.

Leatherwood was 9-for-21 with three doubles, four home runs, 10 RBIs, eight runs scored and a whopping 1.143 slugging percentage.

The former Vanderbilt signee ended the year on a home run spree, hitting seven in his final 10 games. His .905 slugging percentage ranks second-best in a single-season behind Ranger assistant coach, Bill Selby.
