Freshman Holly Newman of Olive Branch has started her soccer career off on the right foot, literally. The forward/midfielder has helped lead the Lady Ranger soccer team to a 2-1 record in the month of August by scoring three goals and adding two assists.

In her collegiate debut on August 23 at Southwest, Newman scored the game-winner in a 3-1 victory.
