Sophomore 3B Stuart Chick had a solid postseason in helping the Rangers advance to the state championship and region semifinals.
Chick hit .382 with a double, home run, five runs scored and six RBIs in nine starts, totaling 17 bases. He added four walks, two sacrifice bunts and a stolen bases in addition to leading the team with a .447 on-base percentage during that span.
Northwest went 5-4 in the month of May, including a two-game sweep of Jones County in a best-of-3 state playoff series.
