Northwest Mississippi Community College Rangers

JCJC transfer Alex Barrett was awesome in the month of April in helping the Rangers to a 10-4 overall record and 8-2 mark in north division play to clinch the No. 2 seed in the first round of the state playoffs.

Barrett hit .511 (24-for-47) with two doubles, three triples, 12 RBIs and 14 runs scored. She added nine stolen bases, drew six walks, slugged .681 and had a .566 on-base percentage.

Barrett's batting average went up 59 points in the month of April to help her finish the year with a team-best .413 average among everyday starters.
